Witty? no? okay.
Well, some of you may know that I do not make cakes by myself. My best friend Lizzie and I make them together.
We made a cake for my dads 50th birthday. First of all my mom threw him a surprise party. My brother from Minnesota and his girlfriend came home, my dad's brother his wife and my dad's parents and were at the bar waiting for my dad to show up. They were also a surprise. He walked in and was completely amazed.
He loved the cake and it's probably one that I have spent the most time on. For that Minnie Mouse cake in August being my first cake with fondant I would say that I'm doing pretty well. :)
I see flaws but for my 3rd fondant cake and someone who is learning on their own, I would say it turned out really nice.
We don't have any plans for another cake as of now. I do believe we need to start charging for our cakes though. This was one was definitely time consuming and expensive.
